Memphis Mission Trip

An estimated rundown of Memphis Mission Trip:

The date for the Mission trip will be June 15th – 20th.
Leave Monday morning and return Saturday.

Arrive Monday and get settled in and eat dinner at Calvary Mission and then serve the needy and go to chapel service.

Tuesday we would work at the mission from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., doing things like cleaning, cooking, painting, or working in clothes closet. That afternoon we would eat supper at the mission and serve the needy a hot meal and then attend chapel service. A Backyard Bible School may be involved.

Wednesday’s schedule would be very similar to Tuesday’s.

Thursday we may work at another local ministry and then back to the Mission for dinner and chapel.

Friday may be spent as a fun day for the group in Memphis.

Saturday we would pack up and head for home.

We will be staying at the West Memphis 1st Baptist Church. You will need money for any extra curricular activities, such as activities on the Friday fun day. See Travis for more information!

White Water Rafting Trip – Ocoee, TN

We will be going White Water Rafting on July 6th. This will be an overnight trip. We are scheduled to White Water Raft on Monday, the 6th at 2:15 p.m. On Tuesday, July 7th, we will be going to Rock City & Ruby Falls in Chattanooga.

This is a costly trip, and because the youth fund operates on a budget, only Ebenezer Youth that are currently in 7th – 12th Grade & the Chaperones will have their white water rafting & Rock City & Ruby Falls admission paid for. ALL OTHERS will have to pay for their own tickets. Everyone will have to pay for their own lodging & meals. Prices are as follows: Rafting $27.95 per person Rock City & Ruby Falls $31.81 per adult & $15.00 per child (3-18yrs).

You can bring a friend, but they will not be paid for. Also, because seating is limited on the van, if you bring a friend, your parent or guardian might have to go in order to transport you and your friend. No one under 12 years of age can White Water Raft according to TN Law, so keep that in mind if you plan to bring a friend. Your parents/guardians are also welcome to come with you, but they will not be paid for if they choose to participate.

I have to have an exact number of everyone going & all release forms turned in for EVERYONE going by June 14th! EVERYONE that is going, that will not be paid for out of the youth fund, will also need to turn in their money June 14th. After June 14th, we cannot get a refund, so if you back out you will be given a voucher for the 09’ – 10’ season. So, Ebenezer youth and chaperones that are being paid for, if you back out after the 14th, you will have to reimburse the youth fund for your tickets, and in return you will be given a voucher.

If you have any questions you can go to http://www.raft.com/ or you can see Stacey. See Stacey for more information about food and lodging or if you need a rafting waiver.
